Privacy Notice
This English text is provided for convenience. TreScout operates under Turkish law and the binding document is the Turkish original, prepared under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK): Aydınlatma Metni. If the two texts differ, the Turkish text applies.
This notice explains how personal data is processed on trescout.com, under the KVKK and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles for Fulfilling the Obligation to Inform. It is for information only and does not ask for your approval.
1. Data controller
TreScout is operated by Havva Nur Arıkan, who is the data controller for your personal data. Contact: hello@trescout.com
2. What we process, why, and on what legal basis
Hosting and security logs. When you visit the site, our hosting provider processes your IP address, browser details, the requested page and the time in its server logs, to serve the site and keep it secure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (KVKK Art. 5(2)(f)). These logs are kept for the provider's retention period.
Optional product measurement. This runs only if you explicitly turn on the "Anonymous product measurement" preference; details are in section 7. The legal basis is your explicit consent (KVKK Art. 5(1)), and you can withdraw it at any time.
Emails and error reports you write to us. When you write to hello@trescout.com (including those sent via the "Report an error" link in reports), we process your email address, your name if provided, and the content of your message. Our purpose is to reply to you, fix the error you reported, and improve the accuracy of summaries prepared with artificial intelligence. When using error reports for accuracy measurement, we do not record your name and email address; only the relevant item and the type of error are used. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest (KVKK Art. 5(2)(f)).
Closed early access list. The early access list was closed on 22 October 2026 and the email addresses on it were deleted the same day. The site no longer accepts sign-ups and keeps no email list.
We do not sell your personal data or share it with advertising networks or with third parties for marketing.
3. How we collect your data
Your data is collected electronically, partly by automated means, through your browser and the emails you send to us.
4. Who we share your data with
Your data is shared only with the following service providers, for the stated purpose:
- Vercel Inc. (USA): hosting the site and optional product measurement.
- Cloudflare Inc. (USA): domain name service and forwarding emails sent to hello@trescout.com.
Because these providers are located abroad, your personal data is transferred outside Türkiye. Each provider's security and data processing practices are governed by its own documentation.
5. How long we keep your data
- Hosting logs and product measurement: for the relevant provider's retention period.
- Emails you write to us: kept for at most 1 year after the correspondence ends, then deleted.
6. Your rights
Under KVKK Art. 11 you have the right to:
- learn whether your personal data is processed
- request information if it has been processed
- learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used for that purpose
- know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it has been transferred
- request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate
- request deletion or destruction under KVKK Art. 7
- request that correction, deletion or destruction be notified to the third parties it was transferred to
- object to a result against you arising solely from automated analysis
- claim compensation if you suffer damage from unlawful processing
7. Cookies, local storage and product measurement
Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights load only if you explicitly turn on the "Anonymous product measurement" preference. Before that, the provider scripts do not run; if you turn the preference off, they are not loaded on later page views. When enabled, these services may process a timestamp, the page address, the referring page, filtered query parameters, approximate location, browser, operating system and device details, and performance measurements.
When the same preference is on, anonymous product measurement (telemetry) sends contextual event data such as page type, content link, placement and limited campaign parameters. Your email address and name are never included in these events. No event is sent without your preference, and your browser's localStorage stores only your preference and return-visit state, and only after you give it. You can change your preference at any time in the Anonymous product measurement panel.
The Nunito and Nunito Sans typefaces used on the site are served directly from trescout.com, without connecting to a third-party service such as Google Fonts. Your IP address is therefore not sent to an outside party when the fonts load, and no cookie is used.
8. How to make a request
To exercise your rights, send your request by email to hello@trescout.com. Please include your full name, the email address concerned and your request. We will respond free of charge within 30 days at the latest; if handling the request involves an additional cost, the fee schedule set by the Personal Data Protection Board may apply.
If your request is rejected, you find the response insufficient, or we do not respond in time, you can lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Board (KVKK Board). If you are in the European Union, you can also contact the data protection authority of your country.
9. Security measures
- HTTPS only: encrypted transmission over TLS 1.3 (registered for HSTS preload).
- Content Security Policy: loading of foreign scripts on the page is blocked at browser level.
- Clickjacking protection: the site cannot be framed by other sites.

10. Changes
This notice may be updated as the service changes. The current version is always on this page, with the "Last updated" date at the top.
