Its primary purpose is to ensure that the stream continues uninterrupted and appropriately tailored to the user's intent, without requiring the user to bother selecting a new file every time a piece of content ends.

How to Know and Use in Daily Life?

In the digital experience of end-users, playlists appear in four main formats:

Personal Playlists: Custom collections manually curated by the user according to their own musical taste, activity (sports, studying, traveling), or mood.
Collaborative Playlists: Shared lists designed for friend groups or events, where multiple users can collaboratively add songs or videos via the same link.

Playlist as a Data Structure: It is based on a Doubly Linked List or a dynamic array architecture. Thanks to previous and next element pointers, rewinding, fast-forwarding, and inserting songs in between are managed with O(1) complexity, while random shuffling (Fisher-Yates) is managed with O(n) complexity.
Recommendation Engines: Modern streaming services combine two fundamental artificial intelligence approaches when creating a playlist:
1. Collaborative Filtering: Compares the behavior matrices (Matrix Factorization) of millions of users with similar listening histories.
